Crystal Covered Porsche 992 and Extreme Show Car Designs
At the 2025 Essen Motor Show, automotive individuality reaches an extreme, led by a Porsche 992 transformed into a rolling light sculpture with more than 1.2 million hand-applied crystals.
This video traces the show’s most talked-about builds, where craftsmanship and spectacle intersect. The crystal-covered 911—based on the current 992 generation introduced in 2019 and typically powered by turbocharged flat-six engines producing up to 650 hp in Turbo S form—redefines the boundary between tuning and art. Surrounding it are equally expressive projects, including color-shifting chameleon wraps that react dynamically to light and a gold-toned aluminum finish that emphasizes surface and form over traditional paint. Rather than focusing on performance figures, the showcase highlights the visual language of modern tuning culture, where materials, textures, and finish become primary tools of expression.
