The Oldtimer Checker allows users to find out whether a vehicle falls into the category of Classic Car, Youngtimer, or neither. By simply entering the year of production, the tool automatically calculates how old the car is and compares this with internationally recognised thresholds. Based on the result, the vehicle is assigned to the appropriate classification – whether it already qualifies as a classic, is on its way to becoming one, or is still too new for either status.

It also automatically assigns the car to one of several historical categories, such as Vintage Car, Pre-War Classic, or Modern Classic.

The result includes a forecast of when a car will enter Youngtimer or Oldtimer status. The calculator is continuously up-to-date and adjusts to the current year. This tool provides clear guidance for collectors, buyers, or anyone exploring a car’s historical status.
