Jeep Meet (Sept 13, 2025) – Another Jeep Meet, akin to February’s but now in pleasant fall weather. The tagline “Freedom Lovers” fits perfectly​: Jeepers are indeed freedom lovers, exploring trails and enjoying top-down freedom in Wranglers. Expect a strong turnout of Wranglers, Cherokees, CJs, Gladiators and possibly vintage Willys jeeps. Off-road builds with mud-terrain tires and lifted suspensions will be parked next to stock daily-driver Jeeps. Some might set up little displays of their trail exploits (photo albums, mud still caked on as proof!). If there’s a local Jeep club, they likely anchor the event, maybe organizing a short convoy or park as a group. There’s an adventurous atmosphere – conversations about upcoming off-road events, swapping of trail maps, and friendly competitions of whose Jeep sits taller or has seen tougher terrain. It’s a tribe gathering for those who value the call of the wild and the vehicle that can take them there.

Porsche Meet (Aug 30, 2025) – Another Porsche meet with Porsche Zentrum Zug, echoing the one in May. By late August, the weather is still prime, and perhaps some who missed May attend this one. We’ll see again a spectacular array of Stuttgart’s finest. This time, there might be more air-cooled vs. water-cooled debates as folks compare notes from summer driving; or someone might bring a new GT3 RS that wasn’t out in spring. It’s also possible some track-weary Porsches fresh from summer circuit days show up still wearing tire scuffs as badges of honor. The dealer’s presence ensures any new developments in the Porsche world (like an upcoming model or a concept) are buzzed about. As before, the spirit of Fahrvergnügen (driving pleasure) permeates the meet. It’s a chance for the Porsche family to reunite and for newcomers to be astonished at just how many varieties of 911 (and other Porsche models) exist across the decades.

Vintage & Classic Car Meet (Aug 31, 2025) – Wrapping up August with the classic meet, potentially the last one before some classics get tucked away for autumn. There’s a hint of end-of-summer nostalgia as well. People relish what might be one of the final warm-weather meets of the year, lingering a bit longer. The variety of cars remains delightful and broad. Perhaps a group of travelers returning from vacation swing by with their classic, adding a new face. Or maybe there’s a theme this time (some clubs occasionally piggyback; e.g., the Volvo club might decide to make this their meeting day, resulting in an impromptu Volvo corner). Ultimately, it’s business as usual: engines tuned, chrome polished, stories told. By now, the organizers might already be planning how many more meets to host as the year winds down, and participants are already pledging to return, weather permitting.

MG-Meet (Aug 24, 2025) – A meet for fans of MG, the classic British sports car marque, organized with the MG Car Club Central Switzerland​. This gathering is a charming throwback to mid-century British motoring. Expect lines of MG T-types (those pre-war styled roadsters from the ’40s/’50s), maybe a sprinkling of MGA roadsters, lots of MGBs (convertibles and GT coupes), and perhaps newer MGs from the early 2000s (or even the modern Chinese-produced MGs if any enthusiasts consider them, but likely it’s focused on the classics). MG owners are typically very enthusiastic about their cars’ simplicity and elegance. Bonnet (hood) might be up on a few to show the straightforward engines and maybe SU carburetors. The meet is filled with discussions about points and condensers, body-off restorations, and the joys of driving a lightweight British roadster on alpine roads. Tea might not be literally served, but the camaraderie is strong. It’s a relatively smaller niche compared to, say, a Mustang meet, but an MG meet has a cozy, clubby feel – very much in line with the marque’s history of enthusiastic owners’ clubs worldwide.

Maria Himmelfahrt Open (Aug 15, 2025) – On the Feast of the Assumption (a Catholic holiday, and in parts of Switzerland a day off), the Ace Cafe is open from 10:00 for another holiday session​. This mirrors the open days on Easter Monday and Ascension. Many in central Switzerland do have this day free, so it can be a bit busier than some other open holidays. Perhaps a local car club organizes a drive ending at Ace, or a bunch of friends use it as an excuse to meet for lunch. The directive is simple: “Komm ins Ace Cafe” – come over, we’re open. By now, people know the drill: holidays = Ace is open for your enjoyment. So they swing by to relax, check out whatever vehicles are present, and celebrate the day in a low-key manner. It reinforces Ace Cafe as a go-to destination even on special days.

Classic Bike-Meet (Aug 16, 2025) – Another round for classic motorcycles, likely similar to July’s meet. Given it’s mid-August, some riders might be showing off bikes they just rode to some summer rallies or events. You might see more foreign plates as touring riders from elsewhere drop in (August is vacation month across Europe). The gathering is informal, bound by the love of older bikes. Attendees exchange advice on sourcing rare parts or the best technique to kickstart an old engine on a cold morning. The meet has the charm of an outdoor motorcycle museum, except all the exhibits roar to life and ride off at the end. For younger riders who only know modern bikes with ABS and traction control, seeing (and hearing) these classics is an education and a thrill.

Bundesfeiertag Open (Aug 1, 2025) – Swiss National Day open house. The Ace Cafe is open from 10:00 until 18:00 (6 pm) to mark the holiday​. Many people have outdoor plans for Switzerland’s birthday (hikes, BBQs, etc.), so the Ace offers a stop for travelers or a meetup spot for clubs before festivities. Possibly some Swiss flags and festive decor adorn the cafe. It’s a shortened schedule (closing by early evening, so staff can enjoy the holiday too). Some may roll in with cars decked in Swiss red-and-white. It’s a casual patriotic pause – grab a meal, maybe see a few interesting vehicles (likely whatever regulars or road-trippers come by), and then head off to watch fireworks in the evening. The Ace serves the community by being open when few others might be, embodying that inclusive spirit on a national celebration day.

American Bike-Meet (Aug 2, 2025) – A gathering for American-made motorcycles and trikes​. This includes primarily Harley-Davidsons, Indians, and custom choppers, plus any three-wheeled variants. The tagline explicitly says all American 2- or 3-wheelers are welcome​, so it’s a broad church as long as it’s U.S. born. It’s similar to the Harley meets but widened to include, for instance, Indian Motorcycle fans or custom builders with S&S V-twin powered choppers. The parking lot will look like a scene from an American road, with stars-and-stripes logos, big touring bikes with flags, and riders in leather vests. The camaraderie is similar to Harley meets – in fact, many of the same folks might attend – but it’s nice that Indian riders get an official invite too. Expect a rumbling, laid-back meetup where the common ground is an appreciation for American iron on two (or three) wheels.

Flea Market at Ace (Aug 3, 2025) – The August flea market edition. Summer cleaning, anyone? Perhaps some are selling items before autumn comes, or tourists passing through add a unique item to the mix. It’s hot, so ice-cold drinks from the cafe probably sell as well as the flea wares. The dynamics remain fun and interactive. One might notice a trend – e.g., someone who bought a part in April might be selling it in August after deciding not to use it. New people discovering the Ace in summer might wander into the flea by chance, pleasantly surprised to find a mini automotive thrift shop. It’s these kinds of organic, community-driven events that cement relationships – a buyer this month becomes a seller next month, and vice versa. The cycle (and recycle) of enthusiast goodies continues.

Japanese Bike-Meet (Aug 9, 2025) – A meet for Japanese motorcycles of all kinds. While earlier in the year we had Japanese cars, this one is all about the bikes from the Land of the Rising Sun. Riders of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki (the “Big Four” Japanese makes) gather, along with possibly niche Japanese brands or unique imports. This meet might see a mix: superbike fans with their Ninjas and CBRs, touring folks with Gold Wings, vintage lovers with ’70s UJMs (Universal Japanese Motorcycles) like the CB750, two-stroke aficionados with Yamaha RD or Suzuki GT bikes, and even quirky machines like a Honda Dax or Monkey bike. It’s a great spread demonstrating Japan’s huge influence on motorcycling. Enthusiasts will likely compare tech (V-4 engines vs. inline-4s, etc.), reliability stories (“this old Kawasaki still runs like a clock…”), and maybe organize future group rides. It’s a salute to the land that gave the world many of its most rider-friendly and innovative bikes. (Freedom on two wheels knows no borders, and this time it speaks Japanese.)

Vintage & Classic Car Meet (Aug 10, 2025) – The summer continues with August’s classic meet, drawing out beautiful old cars in the sunshine. There’s something special about classics in summer – maybe a pre-war roadster with the top down and passengers in period attire for fun, or a convoy of classics that toured together and decided to finish at the Ace. The usual “up to 1995” rule applies​, which by now includes some early ’90s youngtimers that are getting more recognition (you might see early ’90s JDM cars or the first BMW 3-series of the 90s creeping in as classics). This blend of truly old and somewhat newer “classic” keeps things interesting. The event underscores how the definition of “classic” evolves – yet all generations coexist, sharing what’s common: a love for cars built in an analog era. Visitors spanning generations – a grandparent explaining a ’50s car to a grandchild – is a common and heartwarming sight.

Harley-Davidson Meet (July 13, 2025) – The rumble returns. This is another round (the third one this year) for the Harley crowd. By mid-July, many Harley riders are in peak riding season, perhaps en route to or from bigger rallies, and the Ace meet serves as a perfect gathering point. It’s essentially a Harley-focused bike show by now – shiny customs that have evolved since May, new accessories to show off. The partner, B!XE AG, likely continues to support with maybe a service booth or merchandise stand​. The sound of dozens of Harleys starting up together might even startle the uninitiated – but to attendees it’s music. Brotherhood/sisterhood among riders is the theme; new riders get welcomed, and long-time riders swap tales of epic summer rides (maybe someone just rode back from Sturgis or a European Harley meet). The essence remains the celebration of American motorcycle freedom, and the Ace is its Swiss home turf.
