Classic Bike Meet (Switzerland)

Classic Bike-Meet (pre-1989) (July 19, 2025) – A gathering for vintage motorcycles up to 1989. This is the two-wheeled counterpart to the oldtimer car meets. Classic bike owners – whether of old British bikes (BSAs, Triumphs), early Japanese superbikes (Kawasaki Z1s, Honda CB750s), or other vintage makes – gather to show their machines. Without the roar of modern bikes, the gentle thump of an old single-cylinder or the whine of a two-stroke might be heard and appreciated. Attendees can examine features like kickstarters, carburetors, and drum brakes – technology largely bygone. It’s a niche but passionate group, often overlapping with classic car folks. Many of these bikes have interesting journeys (maybe war-era dispatch bikes or ’80s superbikes that were posters on a wall). This meet gives them their deserved spotlight.
