These 7 exhibition halls have a lot to offer: Auto Zürich 2024, currently open from November 7 – 10, presents a refreshing variety that appeals to every car fan. Streetwheelz1 was on site and worked through the entire offering.

With the Geneva Motor Show ending this spring, an era of automotive pioneers came to a close. It’s a shame for such a once world-renowned auto show. However, Auto Zürich has now, in a way, taken the wheel. As is known, this auto show has a different focus than the Geneva Motor Show. Here, it’s not just about presenting cars, but also about selling them. Yet, the 2024 edition impressively shows that there’s much more to it and that this show has continuously evolved.

It’s about passion and visions, about real enthusiasm. The kind of thing that moves car fans around the globe. Around 70 car brands are competing for visitors’ attention across 7 halls.

Among the usual suspects, there are also exotic names. For example, NP02H-1000 sounds a bit like a mysterious robot sci-fi project. However, it’s actually the newly developed 1,000-hp race car from the Swiss company Cumalux Operations. Since the legendary Monteverdi, you could almost count Swiss car brands on one hand. Certainly, this racing car, limited to 10 units, is not meant for regular roads, but it is all the more appealing for exclusive tastes.

A special focus also goes to the new sports car from Bertone. Major car brands entrusted this company with their projects and let Bertone create the body design. Legendary cars emerged from this, such as the Ferrari Dino, Lamborghini Countach, and Lancia Stratos. The Turin-based brand Bertone was recently revived and is presenting its GB 110 at Auto Zürich 2024—a hypercar with surprising characteristics. Visually, it rivals other luxury sports cars, and its butterfly doors showcase it perfectly. With a top speed of 380 km/h, it’s in good company with other supercars. But the real innovation lies in its fuel tank: through a type of reverse oil production, plastic is converted into fuel for the 1,000-hp engine—a unique feature for hypercars.

And speaking of new arrivals: the presentation of the Croatian hypercar Rimac Nevera R is a European premiere. This car achieves a power output of 1,571 kW and reaches 412 kilometers per hour. An absolute record for an electric vehicle. Another powerhouse is presented by Pininfarina with their Battista, developed a few years ago (1,900 hp), which is based on Rimac technology.

Another machine that certainly draws visitors’ attention is present in multiple versions: the Koenigsegg, showcased by SIC CARAGE AG. Today, carbon fiber is a popular material in luxury cars that enhances exclusivity. Pagani, too, uses carbon masterfully.

Yet, with the Jesko, this is taken to the next level, in an enormously aesthetic way. The entire shape of this car is beautifully aggressive, and the black carbon chassis gives the vehicle a spaceship-like appearance.

For those less interested in such extravagant vehicles, there’s still plenty to enjoy. Besides rare vintage cars and eCars, there are many other familiar and highly esteemed brands, such as Hyundai, Mazda, Renault, Subaru, Peugeot, Maserati, Nissan, Porsche, and Volkswagen, showcasing their models and innovations. In the upper floor of the hall, various motorcycle brands are also represented, including Harley Davidson, Ducati, KTM, and others. The Auto Zürich is open until November 10th.
